Both for leisure and for work

I started studying as a hobby. I liked the music and wanted to understand what it was saying. I then majored in it in college, and now I work at a company using the language. I am studying now both for leisure and to better my work performance.

Breanna,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'd love to know what language you are working on, and what type of work lets you study and learn at the same time: Getting paid to learn. That is always a plus. It is fun to hear about people who can put their language study to good use in the work place. People with second language skills bring a valuable contribution to the work place. In my opinion, everyone should speak a second language.

Thanks again for stopping by,
Leslie
